Over 130 School principals and academic leaders from some of India’s leading private schools were enthusiastic participants in the two day conferences and workshops hosted by Sun City World School in Gurgaon New Delhi and by the Samitha Academy in Bangalore.

AIS are the peak body representing the Australian private and independent school sector. Its New South Wales (NSW) state chapter has been developing its links with India over the last 18 months assisted by leading Australian and Asian corporate advisory firm AFG Venture Group.

AIS sent its three of its internationally renowned academic presenters to India to provide new insights on school leadership for Indian delegates. Acclaimed UK educationist James Nottingham joined AIS School Leadership Centre team members Dr Leoni Dagenhardt, Darryl Buchanan and Karen Stapleton in a series of insightful sessions on critical thinking; student based learning and creative pedagogy that resonated strongly with the Indian audience. The workshop sessions were interactive and collaborative and drew on both the Indian and Australian perspectives on school leadership and the changing needs of students and schools in the 21st century.
