| The AFG Venture Group is pleased to announce the establishment of a subsidiary called AFG VENTURE GROUP (Thailand) Co. Ltd, based in Bangkok. Mr. Sumet Grachangnetara has been appointed and taken up duties as the Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Sumet, educated in the UK and the USA, is an experienced Thai business executive with senior management and management consulting experiences in corporate strategic planning, business development and corporate/profit improvement activities, as well as Good Corporate Governance practices. He has held senior management positions with several multinational corporations, and was a senior management consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers/MCS for 10 years. Earlier this year, Sumet was appointed as an honorary Advisor to the Thai Parliament’s House Standing Committee on Finance, Banking and Financial Institutions Activities. The Australia-based AFG Venture Group, was formed in May this year as a merger between the Asean Focus Group Pty Ltd (with its 20 year history of creating alliances, relationships and transactions in Asia) and the Venture Group Pty Ltd (with its 14 year history of corporate and equities advisory in Australia, undertaking merger, acquisition, divestment and fund raising for private and public companies). The union of the two companies has created a very professionally powerful organisation.
